The Dean of Languages and Arts Faculty, Dr. Zulkifli, M.Sn. released 183 students to carry out internship programs on Friday/ June 21st, 2024. The students would be placed in 26 institutions which include government agencies such as RRI Medan, TVRI Sumut, and Angkasa Pura and private offices such as Manu Project Foundation, hotels, and Alliance Francaise Medan.
In the opening remarks, the Dean reminded all students to demonstrate good behavior and attitude throughout the internship period. ”One single bad thing you do as an UNIMED student will give a bad name to our campus. You have to keep the good reputation of UNIMED because people do not see you personally, but they see you from the perspective of your institution”, the Dean said.
The students listened to the speech enthusiastically and looked excited because they would start the internship programs in three days’ time, June 24th, 2024. The first internship program would involve office observation and the second internship program would involve skills development.
Through these internship programs, it is expected that the students will be equipped with the necessary hard and soft skills required to compete and succeed in the workplace which will eventually lead them to a brighter future. (FIA)
